Men’s Issues
Men’s Issues can include issues regarding ones sexuality including compulsive sexual behavior, sexual orientation, or experiencing satisfaction in ones sexuality. But often, “men’s issues” refers to struggles related to what it means to live more fully into ones manhood.
This manifests itself differently depending on ones stage of life.
For a young man the question often presents itself as: “What is my place in the world?” or “What should I do with my life?” or “What career should I pursue?”
A man in his thirties may be asking himself: “Do I have what it takes to be successful?” or “How do I now balance the demands of my job with the needs of my family?”
We often describe men in midlife crisis who are asking such questions as: “What makes all this effort worth it?” and “How do I grab what life has to offer before it’s too late?” and “I this all there is?”
Later in life men ask: “How do I make my retirement years significant?” and “What legacy do I want to leave?”
At each stage in life men are wrestling with two fundamental questions: “How do I find true love and belonging?” and “How do I make a difference in the world that matters?”
